Can I Audition?
Sorry but this page is currently for references purposes only.
Age categories:
Primary (ages 8 - 13)
Intermediate (ages 11-14)
Secondary (ages 13 - 18)
Senior (aged 18 and over)
FROM BEGINNERS TO ADVANCED
We are looking for anyone who is capable of singing and/or dancing and who aspires to furthering their experience and skill in the art of music theatre performance.
Apply online or by mail and pay the audition/admin fee of $22, and then submit your audition on video or DVD. The selection panel (including the American director) will screen these auditions and give them equal consideration. The recorded audition must show a 3-minute item of song or dance or a combination of the two. However if you only show a Dance audition, then we want to also hear you sing (even if it is a chorus of Happy Birthday or Waltzing Matilda). If it is a Song-only audition (with no dance content) either demonstrate your dance ability and list standard and achievements, or list yourself as a Beginner. You can then be placed in the suitable class for your ability.
N.B. Do NOT submit us a Master copy of your recorded audition as these will not be returned and will become the property of Essgee Showstoppers.
