Audition Terms & Conditions

The Showstoppers series of workshops is conducted by Essgee Productions Pty Ltd ABN 59 358 390 055 P.O. Box 301 Mt Tamborine Q. 4272 trading as Essgee Showstoppers (herein referred to as ESSGEE).
Personal Auditions are between 23 - 28 September 2006 at specific times and days as determined by ESSGEE.
Auditions are also being submitted by DVD or Video as determined by ESSGEE. DVDs and Videos will not be returned.
Applicants who lodge their desire to audition must pay a non-refundable fee of $22 (inc. GST). All people who apply and pay will be auditioned.
Applicants will be notified of audition time and venue by email.
Each of the Schools will conduct its own auditions.
Applicants are auditioned individually and privately.
Auditions may be recorded for further panelists' viewing. Such recordings will not be shown publicly without the consent of the auditionee.
Auditions run for a maximum of 5 minutes.
Applicants are required to present one song or one dance or both and run no longer than 3 minutes.
A piano accompanist will be provided for those bringing sheet music, as well as a CD Player for those bringing pre-recorded music. No amplification will be used to mike singers.
All Applicants will be notified as to the status of his or her audition. Successful applicants will be notified by email shortly after the audition dates and there will be 7 days in which to respond and accept the position as per an acceptance contract and to pay the fees.
Applicants who do not take up the position within the designated timeframe will forfeit their position and this may be offered to other applicants currently on a waiting list.
In the event of one campus being over-subscribed, we reserve the right to offer a position to an applicant in a different campus other than the one originally selected however the applicant is under no obligation to accept the position.
Some applicants will be asked to attend a call-back / second audition with the Director on another day. Applicants who are not asked to attend a call-back are not necessarily eliminated from the selection process.
The decision of the audition selection panel members, Producer and the Artistic Director is final. No further correspondence will be entered into regarding their decisions.
We reserve the right to invite particular students to attend the workshops without auditioning.
